Safeguarding in Lambeth

Safeguarding children, as well as young people and adults who are at risk means protecting them from abuse or neglect, making sure that the right support is put in place as early as possible and an environment in which they feel both safe and healthy is created.

In the UK, each local authority has a legal duty to offer safeguarding and Lambeth Council is committed to working with the residents and all organisations based in the borough, such as the NHS, education, family doctors, emergency services, as well as care providers and voluntary and community sector organisations and faith groups to achieve this.

The Lambeth Safeguarding website provides information and support for professionals, children and adults.
